Can I search or filter GeoDirectory listings by tags?
The keyword box already searches tags as well as listing titles, descriptions and categories. Advanced Search can suggest matching tags while typing, but it does not provide a tags field for the filter panel. For a fixed selectable filter, create a select or multiselect custom field and add that field to the post type’s search settings.
Can I show different search filters for each category?
Not automatically. Search filters belong to a post type, so categories within the same type share its filters. The separate Custom Post Types addon can give different listing types their own fields and filters. Limiting a search to one category does not change its filter set; conditional filters by category require custom code.
How do I filter listings by “Open Now”?
With Advanced Search active, open the relevant post type’s Settings > Search screen and add the Open Hours (business_hours) field. It can appear in the main search bar if preferred. Set business hours on the listings so visitors can use the Open Now option to find businesses open at the time of their search.
