Readable Pro – ProteusThemes

Readable Pro theme for blogs and author-led publications

The Readable Pro WordPress theme puts articles and their authors at the center of a website. This blogging WordPress theme suits writers and editorial teams that want a straightforward reading experience alongside author information. Readable Pro layouts can support a publication’s articles, background pages and routes for reader contact.

Readable Pro features and page options

• Author profiles: The About Us template draws on WordPress user information to introduce contributors; avatar display uses the separate Gravatar service.
• Blog layouts: Organize written content within the theme’s editorial presentation, using consistent images and article formatting across the publication.
• WordPress comments: Keep the native comment system or use the documented Disqus integration, which requires its own plugin and account.
• Shop integration: WooCommerce support lets the site add a shop when the WooCommerce plugin is installed and configured.
• Contact forms: The documented contact page uses Contact Form 7, allowing the publication to provide an enquiry form through that separate plugin.

A publication can maintain a clear distinction between articles, contributor information and its contact page. Author details should be completed in the site’s user profiles so the About Us presentation has meaningful information to display. Social profile extensions and external commenting services have their own dependencies rather than being independent theme services.
