Description
Relevanssi A Better Search Premium Pro for WordPress Search
Relevanssi A Better Search Premium Pro replaces the default WordPress search with relevance-based results. It indexes your site’s content so visitors can find useful pages through matching words, phrases, and partial matches. This WordPress search plugin suits documentation libraries, publications, and sites where important information sits in custom fields or downloadable documents.
Search beyond post titles
- Adjust result relevance: Give titles, tags, and comments different weights, then use Premium’s additional weighting controls to prioritize selected posts or post types.
- Include document content: Index readable text from PDF, Word, and other supported attachments, making information inside files searchable alongside pages and posts.
- Connect related terms: Define synonyms so visitors can find relevant content even when their wording differs from the words used on your site.
- Review search activity: Query logs show what visitors search for, including searches without results, helping you identify missing content.
Relevanssi Premium can also index user profiles and taxonomy archive pages. On a WordPress multisite installation, it supports searches across sites, which is useful when related content is spread across a network.

Setup and document indexing
Build the search index after installation and allow database space for it. Your theme controls the results layout; custom search widgets may need integration. Document extraction uses the developer’s external service and an active Premium key. Scanned PDFs need OCR before their text can be indexed.
